In parallel with the creation JESTS, Christian & François BEN AÏM have imagined a short format, directly inspired by the piece, which can leave the theater and “rub shoulders” with all types of spaces.

This impromptu is the result of a double desire: to always widen the territory of dance to new audiences and to keep very active the staging and themes that govern the piece: the play of the unpredictable, the relationship to the instant, and the constant adaptation with the environment.

As with JESTS, the choreographers explore the burlesque register in this artistic work where the unusual is combined with indiscipline, proposing a daring and salutary step aside. The writing around this trio explores the notions of “letting go“, “release” and the physical qualities that characterize them.

Thanks to the physical availability of the performers and the subtle balance of his writing, “The Senseless Community” has won over new followers.

This reflection finds its origin in the sketch presented to the group Geste (s) in which the choreographers have been awarded as winners 2020. Below, an extract from the presentation.
